iphwn'd

Was one of the legions who picked up a iPhone 3G after they were released. Generally, pretty happy with it. Think it's great for reading (email / web) but crap for typing. Still find the blackberry better for typing, though it's lousy for anything else.

Also a bit disappointed my car stereo didn't recognize it as an ipod. It's been finicky in the past (i.e. didn't recognize a first gen nano either), so can't be too surprised. With the commuting I do (~30 miles each way), I consume a lot of podcasts.

I've been following the App Store with some interest, since it holds a lot of promise. Favorite apps so far ... Twitterific , facebook , twittervision (which can be totally fascinating), and the ign game reviews.

ditching the old site

probably going to roll the old site over and bury it. It was a short term effort about two years ago, and it shows.

Moving towards a blog approach like everyone else --- thinking that I can post some MP3's etc for downloading, which would be cool. maybe take some requests as well.

Day of Silence... down with the man

So I supported this (check savenetradio.org for more info) because it's totally fucking crazy that three people in the government who couldn't find a stream on the internet without assistance are making such sweeping decisions.

In short, the CRB ("da man") are declaring royalty rates which are so high no one who's not subsidized could figure out a way to pay them. Nuts. Wouldn't impact me so much, cause I can't picture Really Red or The Left coming after me for royalties or something.... but damn....

blogging. now that's so fuckin 90s

thinking about hyping up the streams a bit. bored with it to be honest, so it's a case of get passionate about it, or get out. We'll see how sustained my energy actually is. Even thought about taking out an ad in Maximum RocknRoll. That'd be some irony!

thanks to alternative tentacles

who swung us some new promos -- THE EAT and MENTALLY ILL.

Totally classic KBD punk from both, and more material than you knew they even had. It'll be getting played, so keep an eye out!
